Ask any media volunteer what the toughest part of serving is, and they’ll probably say the same thing:
Sunday always comes fast.
here’s always another run-through, another file to export, another setup to tweak. But preparation isn’t just logistics... it’s worship.
Preparation shows God that we take His presence seriously. Just like priests in the Old Testament prepared the temple before worship, media teams prepare the modern-day sanctuary for encounters with Him. It’s not about checking boxes; it’s about setting the stage for transformation.
📖 “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” — Ephesians 5:16 (KJV)
Every moment you spend preparing is an investment in someone else’s encounter with Jesus. The slides you build might help someone sing their way into breakthrough. The stream you run might reach someone who hasn’t been in church in years. Your preparation creates room for God to move freely.
If you’ve been feeling burned out or unnoticed, remember this: God sees every detail. God values your effort. God honors your discipline. Preparation may be hard work, but it’s Holy work too!
